The accurate simulation of the flow around high-lift configurations with RANS-solvers makes high demands on the applied turbulence models. The k-ω EARSM model, proposed by Hellsten, has been implemented into the adaptive finite-volume flow solver QUADFLOW with the intention to improve simulations of the flow around high-lift configurations. In this article the computations of the flow around three test configurations, the RAE2822 airfoil, the ONERA-M6 wing and the AGARD A-2 L1/T2 high-lift configuration, are described. Hellsten’s k-ω EARSM model has been validated against the well-known Menter SST turbulence model. The results are compared with experimental data.
