The plankton fauna of Lake Uzury and Lake Khuzhirnoye was studied for the first time. Long-term dynamics of zooplankton in Lake Nur were compared to retrospective data. The highest taxonomic diversity and high quantitative indices of zooplankton development were observed in large freshwater lakes Nur and Khankhoyskoye.
By now the Shara-Nur, Khuzhirnoye, and Uzury lakes dried up and disappeared. The obtained data on the species composition, structure, and quantitative indices of zooplankton in these lakes can be considered as unique.
