Blood is assumed as a laminar, incompressible, fully developed, non-Newtonian flow characterized by power low model. A numerical solution using finite difference method that considers the fully coupled Navier−Stokes and energy equations is used for the simulations. The blood flow and effects of external heating and cooling on the temperature distribution inside artery is graphically presented and discussed. %8 2010-11-16
