Functional Role of Fucoxantine and Brown Algae Phytohormones
要約
Literature and original data on fucoxantine and phytohormone content in brown algae are summarized. Fucoxantine biological activity including its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anticancer, anti-diabetic, and other characteristics are described. Brown algae Cystoseira C. Agardh, occurring in the Black Sea, are shown to be promising raw material in producing biologically active substances including fucoxantine and phytohormones.
