This work is devoted to development and numerical research of thermally regulated onboard systems of hydrogenous gas (methane and hydrogen) storage with applications to heat pipe devices and activated carbon sorbents. Thermal management is the design bottleneck in creation of efficient gas storage sorption systems. Inefficient heat transfer in sorbent beds is connected with relatively low effective thermal conductivity and appreciable sorption heat of hydrogenous gas storage materials. The results of this work can be used in designing systems for storage of bound hydrogen and methane that are of interest for power engineering, transport, and private usage.
