Influence of External Turbulence on Heat Transfer in a Separated Flow Behind a Single Rib or a Step
要約
An experimental study of the local heat transfer and static pressure distribution behind a rib or a step with three levels of free stream turbulence 1.5, 6.6, and 14.2% was carried out. The obstacle heights were h = 6, 10, 20, and 30 mm. The turbulization of an external flow exerts a perceptible influence on the enhancement of heat transfer behind a rib and a more appreciable one behind a step when the pressure coefficient increases slowly. The maximum magnification of heat transfer in a turbulized flow takes place at the point of joining of the separated flow moving upstream with an increase in turbulence intensity.
