The mathematical analysis of the data for 1943-1999 revealed that the outburst s of phytoplankton productivity (PP), especially that of Melosira, observed in the southern part of Baikal are of resonance pattern. Dynamics of these bursts is obeyed the solar activity cycles of 32/3, 71/3, and 11 years, which are divisibly conjugated with the periods of changes of magnetic poles of the Sun. The concept proposed enables the prediction of PP oscillations.
