Organic Matter Decomposition and Catalase Activity in Bottom Sediments of Ponds with Extremely High Content of Allochthonous Nitrogen

要約

Organic matter decomposition and catalase activity were investigated in bottom sediments of ponds of the Aleksandriya park (the town of Belaya Tserkov, the Kiev region) supplied by underground waters and heavily polluted by mineral nitrogen. Its content in the incoming water was essentially higher than that registered in the non-purified sewage. Relationship was established between the concentration of mineral nitrogen and organic matter decomposition and catalase activity in bottom sediments.
