要約
The presence of boundary layers in combustion chambers can lead to different and unexpected phenomena that alter idealized pictures of reactive flow dynamics. This paper describes two different combustion phenomena in two very different flow regimes: the boundary-accelerated laminar flame, involving only laminar flames and laminar flow, and the detonationless supersonic flame, involving shocks, turbulent flow, and possible detonations. These boundary-induced phenomena can be used to explain observed phenomena, and to promote or control combustion in propulsion and micropropulsion devices.
