A REVIEW OF MICROWAVE DUAL-BAND BANDPASS FILTERS-DESIGN TECHNIQUES AND DEVELOPMENTS

Various Technologies have been developed for designing microwave dual-band bandpass filters used in numerous multiband wireless services. This paper discusses the basics of filters along with reviewing the major researches and developments in the design techniques of dual-band filters. It also enables the reader to select the appropriate design and specification, as per the required application. The substrate integrated waveguide (SIW) technology is found to be the most suitable, having low losses and high integrability with low cost features, out of the several reviewed techniques for designing of filters working in high microwave and millimeter wave frequencies.
