The system is based on the reduced order spatial homogenization, adaptive cycle block integration, and identification of fine-scale material parameters from experimental data. Fatigue is modeled as a multiscale space-time problem. The reduced order homogenization is used for spatial upscaling (or coarse graining). The cycle block scheme, which estimates the rate of material degradation from a single load cycle and then adaptively projects it over n cycles, is used for temporal upscaling. The MDS has been seamlessly integrated in ABAQUS, and a graphical user interface has been developed. %8 2008-02-04
