At the numbers M ≤ 1.5 for water, dependencies between the flow's slope in the compression shock and the shock's slope have been plotted, as well as a dependency of the M number at which the shock attaches to the plate vs. the trim angle. Young's method has been generalized onto the motion near the free boundary, which takes account of the finiteness of the plate's extension. %8 2006-07-18
