Plume combustion temperatures and relative combustion efficiency were determined for gaseous fuels with and without particles. Highest boron combustion efficiency was obtained for operational conditions which provided highest gaseous-fuel plume combustion temperatures. The plume temperature depended on gas-generator temperature, ramjet combustor pressure, and gas-generator nozzle type. Highest plume temperatures were achieved with a noncircular nozzle configuration which enhances fine-scale (molecular) mixing. %8 1993-01-01
