The cultured mycelia were extracted with 50% methanol-chloroform and analyzed by HPTLC using chloroform:methanol (6:1 v/v) as mobile phase and densitometry scanning at 263 nm. Cordycepin varied from 0.002% to 0.029% was detected in twenty-one isolates. Compared to natural O. sinensis (0.004%, 0.006%), cordycepin was determined to be enhanced in twelve cultured samples.
