ABSTRACT

Results of a comparative analysis of floras of chlorococcal algae from different regions of the Earth are presented. Zonal regularities in the distribution of their species and peculiarities in their taxonomic structure have been revealed. The floras classified within the European group are closely related, which is indicative of the similarities in the genesis of the flora of chlorococcal algae of Eurasia. The extent of their similarity depends on the latitudinal disposition of the floras and probably also on the influence of environmental factors on their formation. The closest connection was between the flora of chlorococcal algae of Ukraine and that of Hungary (t = 0.85). This points to the structural similarity of the leading families in these floras.
