ABSTRACT
The communication deals with Enteromorpha kylinii Bliding, a new species for India. In Asia, the occurrence of this alga has been reported only from two countries (Philippines and Vietnam). The alga was collected from the west coast of India in the month of August. It is a lithophytic alga characterized by growing in regions of freshwater influence, branching is restricted to basal part of thallus, and the presence of cells on surfaces are present in longitudinal rows.
