ABSTRACT

A geomagnetic index Ap has been compared with the solar wind parameters obtained from 2003-2005 observations. Some characteristic features of the solar wind geoeffective disturbances at the 23rd solar activity cycle decline are determined. In particular, the speed of the solar wind geoeffective disturbances during the observation periods is shown to be on the average lower, and the power index of electron density fluctuations higher than that for the quasistationary high-speed solar wind.
