ABSTRACT

Polarization properties of a reflective two-dimensionally periodic grating of short-circuited coaxial sector waveguides are analyzed. Frequency dependences of the Stokes parameters of the reflected wave are presented for the cases of normal and oblique incidence of a plane linearly polarized electromagnetic wave upon the grating. The Stokes parameters are analyzed in dependence on the length of the short-circuited coaxial sector waveguides. It is shown that a plane linearly polarized wave incident normally or obliquely upon the grating can be transformed into a reflected circular polarized wave with either clockwise or anticlockwise rotation of the electric field vector.
