ABSTRACT
The problem of an interaction of two-dimensional monochromatic acoustic waves with a shock wave at the wedge in hypersonic inviscid flow with Mach number 21 is considered. An interaction of acoustic waves with a shock wave for the angles of incidence of acoustic disturbances in the vicinity of a critical angle in the wide range of acoustic waves is investigated numerically. It is shown that the shorter is the wave length of the acoustic disturbances, the larger the coefficients of transformations of these disturbances. This fact is in agreement with the abnormal wave amplification that was predicted by the linear theory of an interaction of disturbances with shock waves.
