ABSTRACT

The nanostructured copper and titanium coatings applied to textile materials by cathodic-arc deposition of metal plasma in a vacuum and in the atmosphere of carbon dioxide are considered. Based on the study of the structural and chemical composition of the coatings, their antistatic, radioprotective, bactericidal, and fungicidal characteristics are shown. The cathodic-arc deposition can be successfully used for applying metal coatings to textile materials to impart special surface properties to them.
