Modeling of the Thermal State of the Diesel Cylinder Cover with Allowance for Liquid Flow in the Cooling Cavity
ABSTRACT
A review of the existing procedures for determining the thermal state of the cylinder covers is presented. The analysis carried out has shown the insufficient accuracy of results first of all due to the subjective nature of the dependences derived for determining boundary conditions. The aim of the work was numerical investigation of the hydrodynamics of a liquid flow in the cooling space of the diesel cylinder cover and determination of the thermal state of the piecework investigated. The accuracy of the numerical experiment set was checked by comparing the results of simulation with the results of a physical experiment.
