ABSTRACT
Phytoplankton taxonomic composition and quantitative indices of its development were studied in the flooded sand and granite quarries of the town of Zhitomir. Phytoplankton ecological and geographic characteristics are given in the paper. The succession state of plankton communities of the studied water bodies was assessed in terms of their production parameters.
