ABSTRACT
Peculiarities of the nitrogen compounds transformation in the system for mass cultivation of Moina macropora under the influence of increased food loading and developing crustacean culture are considered. It is stated that heterotrophic bacteria play a determining role in the formation of quality of the cultural medium and food base of zooplankters cultivated. The influence of M. macropora on mediums quality led to decreased numbers of the saprophytic bacteria group, reduction of oxygen deficiency, accelerated organic matter degradation process and increase in NH+4 level.
