ABSTRACT
Nitrogen excretion rates were measured Mnemiopsis leidyi individuals varied in sizes. Measurements were made every month of the year on newly caught individuals and those that starved several days over a temperature range of 7 to 24.5°C. The excretion rate expressed by a power function of animal's dry weight was very sensitive to temperature (Q10 = 2.2-5.0). The O/N ratio and minimum food ration were calculated.
