RADIATIVE PROPERTIES OF NANO-ENERGETIC MATERIALS

ABSTRACT

This paper describes theory and practice of determining optical or thermal radiative properties of nano-energetic materials using light scattering theory and measurement techniques. First, the theory and applicability of particle light-scattering to nano-materials are discussed, proceeding from single-scattering behavior to multiple scattering and from independent scattering to dependent scattering. Finally, the application of light scattering to nano-molybdenum trioxide (MoO3) and nano-aluminum is discussed.
