EMISSION CHARACTERISTICS OF OXAZINE DYES INCORPORATED IN SOLID POLYURETHANE MATRICES
ABSTRACT
Energy and spectral emission characteristics of cylindrical polyurethane matrices, doped by Oxazine 17 and Oxazine 1 dyes are investigated. The influence of induced thermo-optical distortions arising under the conditions of application of transverse mode pumping on energy and emission spectrum is studied. The highest values of energy and efficiency, obtained from the two-centimeter matrices equaled to 52 mJ and 18 % and 120 mJ and 23 % for Oxazine 17 and Oxazine 1 correspondingly. The conclusion is made that the polyurethane structure doped by these dyes, are a perspective material for creating solid-state laser active elements capable to work in the conditions of powerful microsecond pumping.
