Characteristic and Reciprocal Conductivities of Slit Radiators on a Perfectly Conducting Sphere
ABSTRACT
The conductivity of finite-size slit radiators presented on a perfectly conducting spherical surface have been found in terms of tensor magnetic Green's function. Expressions of both characteristic and reciprocal conductivities of short (compared to the working wavelength λ) circumferentially oriented slits was derived through approximating appropriate magnetic current distributions by a single cosinusoidal harmonic. The conductivities was numerically investigated as functions of slit length, sphere size, and slit separation. The resonant lengths of slit radiators determined for spheres with diameters 0.5...5 λ.
