Results of the solution to the problem of excitation of the conical structure with periodical longitudinal slots by nonstationary radial dipoles are presented. In the initial-boundary problem solution the Moeller-Fock integral transforms are used. Analytical solution to the problem derive for the narrow and semitransparent cones.

An electrodynamical approach is suggested for the problem of arbitrarily incident wave diffraction by a system of periodic strips near a screened anisotropic (plasma-like) medium. The medium possesses full anisotropy. The six components of the system reflection field have been analytically obtained.

The quality of identification of the telecommunication network technical condition substantially depends on methods used to monitor hardware-software complexes in telecommunication networks as well as on the errors occurring in the monitoring process. The article provides classification of errors, their analysis and an approach to the construction of models for investigating parameters of errors in software complexes.

The process of selection of an optimal vector for adjusting the code word in a concatenated code from alternative groups of localized strings of errors, shaped on the basis of an extended syndrome of component codes in the form of linear combinations of extended check matrix’ rows, is proposed. This is required to develop an approach to synthesis of optimal syndrome decoders with "hard" and "soft" solutions of concatenated codes with a serial concatenation via an interleaver of cyclic linear block-structured codes.

The output characteristics of the diffraction radiation oscillator working on high-order spatial harmonics are studied. For the 1st and, in particular, the 2nd spatial harmonics of the same oscillator, the levels of the output power and the starting current are compared, and the gains from the operation on the 2nd harmonic are shown. A physical interpretation is suggested for the mechanism providing enhanced oscillator efficiency on high-order spatial harmonics.

frequency tuning bandwidth
In this paper possibilities of the extension of the continuous frequency tuning bandwidth in the clinotron operating frequency range are studied. The most attractive approach is optimization of the geometry of the slow-wave oscillatory system of the tube. It is shown that by means of the distance variation between the slow-wave structure and the opposite cavity wall it is possible to provide the continuous frequency tuning bandwidth up to 20−25 %.

multifrequency self-oscillations
Results of numerical solution to the equations of drift-diffusion model (DDT) of semiconductor pn - i - pn structures with abrupt avalanche p-n junctions are presented. The multifrequency self-oscillation mode in Ge-, Si- and GaAs-based pn - i - pn structures with a dc reverse bias has been found can operate. The excitation mechanism of self oscillations has been investigated and the generated spectrum has been analyzed. It is shown that semiconductor structures with abrupt p-n junctions represent a kind of the sustained-excited oscillation system. They can be used for designing multifrequency generators of the microwave frequency range.
