Optimal Stabilization of a Simple Pendulum in the Unstable Equilibrium Position

On the example of a simple pendulum with integral control in the upper (unstable) equilibrium position (a priori unstable nonlinear third-order system) it is shown the capabilities and features of using enough constructive methods of hard synthesis of nonlinear stabilization systems and their applications in optimization procedure of built regulators.

A mathematical model of the multichannel queueing system with pure losses and feedback is proposed. Here feedback is characterized by instant returning a part of calls to get a repeated service. Three schemes of returning calls which have already been serviced are studied. In the first scheme the probability of return depends on a number of primary calls in channels; in the second scheme this probability depends on the number of repeated calls in channels; in the third scheme this probability depends on the total number of calls in channels. Both exact and approximate methods to calculate characteristics of the system are developed. The exact method is based on the system of balance equations for the probabilities of system states and the approximate method uses the principles of space merging of two dimensional Markov chains. Results of numerical experiments are given.

A problem of mutual attitude adjustment of onboard imaging camera and a star tracker in a spacecraft body which orbits around the Earth is solved using observations of geo-referenced landmarks. Possibilities of some algorithms of above mentioned problem solution with quite strict limitations on an available information are demonstrated. Methods of those algorithms realization and results of their computer simulation are presented.

The state estimation problem of a linear dynamic distributed system in a bounded domain with known boundary, but unknown initial conditions is considered. The finite-dimensional model of the process, obtained by the Galerkin method, and the state estimation of the model by the ellipsoids method are used for solution of the problem. The features of the proposed approach are discussed and analyzed by two examples of solution of the problem of estimation of positions and velocities of a string and membrane.
The Inverse Steganalysis Methods Based on χ2-Criterion

Two steganalyses methods are offered to divide the accepted images into containers and stego. The methods are intended for detection of the information embedding in the least meaningful bits of the image. The division of the accepted images occurs by the rules of χ2-criterion. The hypothesis about the accepted empty container is considered as the basic one. The theorem on possibility of obtaining the consistent estimate of distribution of the empty container from the accepted image using the averaging filtration is proved. The theoretical basis for methods development is the mathematical model of stegosystem for which the validity of using χ2-criterion on satisfaction of the theorem conditions is proved.
On Solving of a Special Optimization Problem Connected with Determination of Invariant Sets of Dynamical Systems

Problem of nonconvex optimization, which is met on control synthesis and minimizes domain of localization of invariant set of nonlinear systems, is considered. For this problem solving we use equivalent to it quadratic problem, for determination of the lowest estimate of optimal value of the objective function dual approach is used. We state and prove sufficient condition for the property that the mentioned approach gives optimal value of the objective function and the point of global extremum of the initial problem.

It is shown that for the set covering problems (which differ in one position of the constraint matrix) there are not κ-probabilistic polynomial procedures for the analysis of the stability (κ ∈ {ZPP, PR}) for κ ≠ NP.
