The algorithm for constructing solutions of the unilateral quadratic matrix equation in the case of complex eigenvalues of the corresponding matrix pencil is proposed. Relations are given which can be regarded as analogues of the corresponding equalities for the scalar quadratic equation, which are content of Vieta theorem. As an application, the problem of introducing clarity into the model parameters, using the experimentally obtained eigenvalues of this system, is considered.

The potential of catastrophe theory methods and techniques to study the risk control problems are considered. The horizon of forecast concept connection with the problem of risk control is shown. A redundant system consisting of repairable, unrepairable and periodically tested components is considered. None of distributions involved is supposed to be of exponential type. A method of weighted simulation enabling one to construct unbiased estimates for the hazard of failure of the system simultaneously at several points is proposed. High accuracy of estimates is demonstrated with the example of power supply system.

New methods for analysis of robust stability and optimization of discrete output feedback control systems are developed. Sufficient stability conditions of the zero state are formulated with the joint quadratic Lyapunov function for a family of nonlinear systems with uncertain coefficient matrices and a measured output feedback. The solution of a general problem of robust stabilization and evaluation of the quadratic performance criterion for a family of nonlinear discrete systems are proposed. The results application is reduced to solving the system of linear matrix inequalities.

It is shown, that under vector approach a decision making problem through the alternatives properties decomposition is presented by a hierarchical system of criteria. At the bottom level of hierarchy, the estimation of the alternative by separate properties is carried out by means of a criteria vector and at the top level by means of the mechanism of the composition the estimation of the alternative as a whole is obtained. The problem is solved by the method of nested scalar convolutions. The methodology of the problem solution is based on N. Bohr complementarity principle and K. GÃ¶del theorem incompleteness.

Audio steganalysis method based on "negative resonance phenomenon" is proposed. Differences between the first and higher order statistics before and after "control stego transformation" for the test signal and its linear prediction error are used to distinguish empty and stego signals. The method includes the SVM binary classifier. Test results show the effectiveness of the method of detecting Hide4PGP stego signals when their payloads are more than 20 %.
