Résumé

Needs of new technology development for new materials and energy saving presuppose a new approach to the process intensification. All the resources of the conventional equilibrium processes, which were used as a basis for conventional technologies, are practically exhausted. But there is a new way to enhance the intensity of energy exchange. Improving different technologies could be based on nonequilibrium processes. Such processes could be divided into two different types. First, kinetically nonequilibrium processes, where internal degrees of freedom of particles participating in the processes are out of equilibrium and which are not characterized by such parameter as temperature. The second type is thermal nonequilibrium process, where different parts of the system could have different temperatures, and the most important portion of the process is based on energy exchange between the products and reactants due to assistance of an intermediate agent or process. Such processes could be realized in natural conditions under such phenomena as detonation, different types of discharges, lightning, etc. The intensity of energy exchange in chemical processes could be increased dramatically, which will have as a result the new quality of technologies that are not available in traditional industries. Such processes as generation of new carbon nano-structured materials as well as a new type of combustion known as superadiabatic combustion are considered in the paper. The application of said technologies in different types of equipment is demonstrated: polymer materials surface modification, new pulse detonation engines, radiant burners, and pollution control systems. Application of nonequilibrium processes-based hydrogen production allows designing and constructing non-catalytic processes-based equipment for chemical industry and hydrogen energy development. The results of heat and mass transfer studies under nonequilibrium conditions are manifested by the concrete apparatus and equipment operation. New ideas of future development of nonequilibrium processes-based technologies in different industrial areas are discussed.
