Laser Beam Techniques for Measuring Two-Phase Boundary Motion in Boiling
RÉSUMÉ
Many kinds of optical instrumentation method have been used widely in two-phase flow systems, however a few of laser-based techniques are considered to be well-established in measuring locally two-phase boundary motions in boiling and flashing. In this lecture, the author will concentrate and summarize his works on boiling and bubble dynamics using the laser beam techniques originally developed by author's group. The first is the laser beam measuring technique applied for measuring local and time-dependent motions of two-phase boundary, and the second is the laser beam heating technique in studying bubble dynamics which provides a point energy source to create only a bubble in liquid under severe transient conditions.
