RÉSUMÉ
A theoretical model for predicting the damping of the normal velocity fluctuation close to a contaminated air-water interface is proposed. In the present model, the flow field close to a contaminated interface is approximated by superposition of a free-surface flow at a clean interface and a surfactant-induced flow. It is shown that the present model can predict the normal velocity fluctuation quite well under a wide range of the Marangoni number representing a degree of surface contamination. Finally, the predicted interface-normal velocity fluctuation is used to evaluate the interfacial mass transfer.
