The present research focuses on studying forced convection and thermal energy storage in a channel filled with a homogenous, isotropic and saturated porous medium for uniform flow with insulated walls. The flow in the porous material is governed by the Brinkman-Lapwood-Foechheimer-extended-Darcy model. The energy transport model was based on the local thermal non-equilibrium assumption between fluid and solid phases. Numerical simulation was carried on using Lattice Boltzmann Method (LBM).The effects of Biot number, modified thermal conductivity ratio and Darcy number on heat transfer and thermal performance of the considered system for energy storage are investigated through this paper.
