RÉSUMÉ
The aim of the paper is the experimental study of the fundamental processes of heat and mass transfer during the absorption of water vapor onto a falling film of aqueous lithium bromide flowing over horizontal rows of smooth copper tubes. A simple theoretical model, used in the literature, for single tubes, has been adapted to the whole absorber and the results compared. It has been concluded that there is a need to include a parameter for the effective tube length for each tube.
