Résumé

This paper discusses the instantaneous heat transfer characteristics of multiple impinging jets where the interconnection between the instantaneous flow features near the target wall and the local heat transfer enhancement is investigated in particular. Based on the large eddy simulation results of the selected experimental case with 13 impinging jets at Reynolds number around 20000, two key mechanisms that contribute to unsteady heat transfer augmentations were identified.
