Flow pre-compression is provided by a lifting surface formed in accordance with a waverider concept and placed ahead of inlets. Results of experimental and computational studies of the vehicle characteristics are presented. Investigations are performed at Mach numbers M = 4 and 5 in the range of the angles of attack from −4 to 20°. It is shown that this configuration ensures relatively high aerodynamic characteristics and mass flow rates of air. The experimental results agree well with the CFD simulation. %8 2014-12-29
