The cathode spots glow was registered by a high-speed CCD camera. By using the method of high-speed registration, the evolution of cathode spot number was observed and the velocity of a single spot was measured. Also, the cathode erosion rate was determined. Significant disadvantages of the powder Ti−Cu cathodes during coating deposition in vacuum low-pressure arc discharges have not been revealed. %8 2015-07-02
