T1 Seasonal and Interannual Dynamics of Phytoplankton, Phytomicroepiphyton, and Nutrients Content in the River Section of the Kanev Reservoir JF Hydrobiological Journal JO HYD YR 2016 FD 2016-01-28 VO 52 IS 1 SP 49 OP 61 K1 phytoplankton K1 phytomicroepiphyton K1 nutrients K1 the Kanev Reservoir K1 river section. AB It has been found that in the river section of the Kanev Reservoir the intensity of phytoplankton and phytomicroepiphyton development distinctly varies from season to season, which is conditioned to a large extent by the content of inorganic forms of nitrogen and phosphorus in the water. At the same time, the content of inorganic nitrogen and phosphorus does not significantly vary from year to year, which is indicative of their stable content in the water of the Kanev Reservoir. It has been shown that N : P ratio essentially decreased as compared to the 1960−1970s. In this case, the minimal values of N : P ratio (6.6 ± 0.43) are registered in summertime, whereas its maximal values (32.3 ± 2.6) − in wintertime. Correlation was established between phytoplankton and phytomicroepiphyton indices of development and nutrients content. It is indicative of dynamic relationships in the "algal communities ↔ nutrients content" system.
