Usikov Institute for Radiophysics and Electronics of NAS of Ukraine by means of an original differential dielectrometer to solve molecular biophysics problems is represented. The main attention is given to demonstration of possibilities of the method for studying of dielectric parameters, which characterize interaction of biomolecules of different levels of complexity with the aqueous solvent, in the millimeter wave band. The results of the corresponding measurements for a large set of monomeric and polymeric nucleic acids of different types as well as for proteins are given. The differential dielectrometer has been shown to be the most effective for studying small changes in the biomolecule-solvent interaction when these changes are caused by action of external factors (heating, ionizing radiation, formation of complexes with active substances, etc.). The absorption of microwave radiation by biomolecules has been found to be very low. It can not determine a biological effect of this radiation. In biomolecule solutions the main component, which interacts with microwaves, is water in the Debye dispersion range.
