The Brinkman flow model is employed. It is observed that when the Peclet number, Pe, changes from Pe = 1 to Pe = 10, the temperature field will not change significantly. It is also found that, while the fully developed value of the Nusselt number is independent of considering the effects of axial conduction, the developing Nusselt number will be strongly affected and this fact is noticeable especially for the values of the Peclet number small enough compared to the so called values of Pe. The results showed that the developing Nusselt number increases as Pe decreases and also the fully developed region will be reached later as Pe decreases. %8 2003-04-01
