RÉSUMÉ
Two clones of Chara cf. globularis with orthotropic thalli were found in soil cultures with moss protonema and gametophytes. The phenomenon of formation of orthotropic erect filaments by representatives of Charales in out of water conditions has never been recorded before. This fact may be of interest in connection with the problem of streptophyte algae evolution and their relationship to land plants origin.
