RÉSUMÉ

Problems on the diversity of toxins from cyanobacteria (Cyanophyta) and also those connected with genetic regulation of their biosynthesis, the impact of environmental factors on toxinogenicity, biodegradation, and also the role of toxins in nature will be discussed. Special attention is paid to biologically active compounds harmful to people and animals and of interest as medicine, as a source of various pharmaceutical preparations.
