This work reports on the results of a numerical study of heat transfer and fluid flow in an inclined cavity of a solar still with double-diffusion natural convection. The cavity has the top and bottom sides inclined and subject to temperature and concentration gradients, while the vertical walls are adiabatic. Water vapour is considered at the saturated state. The governing equations are conservation of mass, energy, momentum and concentration. The conservation equations are coupled, and their solutions are based on the algorithm SIMPLE. Velocity, temperature and concentration fields are obtained for a Rayleigh number range where laminar flow prevails, and for different cavity inclination angles and aspect ratios. Results show that for high Rayleigh number, an increase in the inclination of the cavity causes Nusselt number, Sherwood number and condensation rate increase. When aspect ratio is decreased, Nusselt and Sherwood numbers decrease, however, condensation rate increases due to the increment of the condensable area. A cavity of good thermal performance is inclined at 45 degrees and has aspect ratio of 1/12.
