VISUALIZATION OF SHOCK WAVE INTERACTION WITH WEDGE FLOW
RÉSUMÉ
Experimental investigation of nonstationary pulsed flow ionization in the course of interaction of a shock wave with a wedge in a rectangular channel was carried out. A special discharge test chamber was assembled in a shock tube. A nanosecond-lasting volume discharge with ultraviolet preionization was initiated at different stages of high-speed gas flow with plane shock wave at Mach numbers 3.0 ± 0.1, with instant plasma glow images being obtained. High-speed shadowgraphy and CCD plasma glow recording, as well as CFD simulation were also performed.
