EXPERIMENTAL CONSIDERATION AND CORRELATION OF HEAT TRANSFER OF A TWO-PHASE CLOSED THERMOSYPHON DUE TO THE INCLINATION ANGLE, FILLING RATIO, AND ASPECT RATIO
RÉSUMÉ
In this paper, the heat transfer performance and characteristics of a two-phase closed thermosyphon is experimentally studied by investigating the parameters such as inclination angle (φ), filling ratio (FR), aspect ratio (AR), heat input (Q), and coolantmass flow rate (m). Some of the existing theoretical and experimental results for the coefficient of boiling heat transfer are also compared with present work. Furthermore, an empirical equation is developed to correlate the heat transfer coefficients. The efficiency of the two-phase closed thermosyphon is also measured at different inclination angles and the results are compared with other researchers’ data reported in the literature.
