RÉSUMÉ

Steady flow of an electrically conducting viscous incompressible fluid in a circular channel filled with a saturated porous medium in the presence of transverse magnetic field is considered. The Brinkman equation is used for flow in porous media. The exact solutions for velocity, average velocity, rate of volume flow, and shear stress on the boundary are obtained and exhibited graphically. Influence of various parameters such as Hartmann number and permeability parameter on the flow are discussed.
