Special Features of Boiling of Emulsions with a Low-Boiling Dispersed Phase

The main results of the investigation on heat transfer in boiling of an emulsion, the dispersed phase of which is formed by a fluid (solution) with the boiling temperature substantially lower than the boiling temperature of the dispersed medium of the studied emulsion, are presented. We have considered heat transfer in boiling of the dispersed phase of the emulsion. One of specific features of boiling, in this case, is an great delay of the onset of boiling, exceeding the temperature of saturated vapor Ts by 100°C and more. Possible reasons responsible for such a delay of boiling and methods of decreasing it are considered.
