STEADY-STATE PRODUCTIVITYFORMULA FOR A PARTIALLY PENETRATING VERTICAL WELL IN A BOX-SHAPED RESERVOIR
RÉSUMÉ
If a reservoir has strong edge-water drive, the edge water can be take as constant pressure outer boundary and the steady-state flow regime is common at long producing times. Taking a partially penetrating well as a uniform line sink in three-dimensional space, by solving three-dimensional Laplace equation and developing necessary mathematical analysis, this paper presents a steady-state productivity formula for a partially penetrating vertical well arbitrarily located in an anisotropic box-shaped reservoir. A formula for calculating the pseudo skin factor due to partial penetration is also presented.
