RÉSUMÉ
In the second part of the 1980s, the mussel bank "Tetis-2" was subjected to intensive anthropic silting as a result of which the numbers and biomass of mussels, and also the area of their distribution, essentially decreased. At the thickness of silt of 3 cm, the biocenosis of mussels gave way to the biocenosis of Melinna palmata (Grube) (Polychaeta). The capability of mussels for production and filtration decreased. As a consequence, the process of aging of mussel population was observed.
